Yıldız Technical University (YTU), located in Istanbul, Turkey; It is a state university founded in 1911 under the name of Conductor Mekteb-i Âlîsi.[1]

Yıldız Technical University was founded in 1911 under the name of Conductor School, based on the curriculum of the "Ecol De Conducteur" in Paris, in order to meet the requirements of "Science Officer" (formerly known as conductor, now technician).[1] Today, the school has 2 campuses, in Beşiktaş Yıldız and Esenler Davutpaşa. The idle Ayazağa campus is in the process of being rebuilt. Education has been given in Yıldız and Davutpaşa campuses since the Ottoman period.
